Jacki Maréchal’s works exhibited here, are his most affecting and personal I saw to this day. They were painted further to the discovery and the attentive listening of the music of the New York composer Morton Feldman. They present abstract landscapes which seem to merge the distant and the bright and make possible a pictorial melody in the emotional sphere at the same time sensualist and avant-gardist. The felt silence is wide and keeps at a distance the outside world, and paradoxically, the pictorial wealth of the works could fill the place where they live, at any time. A work to be seen, to be known, to be felt.

Les œuvres exposées sont les plus émouvantes et personnelles de Jacki Maréchal que j’ai vues à ce jour. Elles ont été peintes suite à la découverte et l’écoute attentive de la musique du compositeur new-yorkais Morton Feldman. Elles présentent des paysages abstraits qui semblent fusionner le lointain et le lumineux et rendent possible une mélodie picturale à la sphère émotionnelle à la fois sensualiste et avant-gardiste. Le silence ressenti est large et tient à distance le monde extérieur, et paradoxalement, la richesse picturale des œuvres peut inonder l’endroit où elles vivent, à tout instant. Une œuvre à voir, à connaître, à ressentir.
